COACH JON GILMER
Coach Gilmer handles the speed, power, and agility portion of the AOS program. His sprint/speed philosophy is simple: ‘Technique is the vehicle through which speed flows’. Coach Gilmer teaches athletes proper sprint and acceleration mechanics through neuro-muscular development. His goal is to guide athletes to fire muscles in a sequential pattern, facilitating a more efficient, powerful, and fast run. Coach Gilmer competed in the sprints for Louisiana State University. He raced internationally and trained with world and national record holders from the 100m- 1600m relay. In 1995, he made his first qualifying time for U.S. Indoor Nationals in the 55m/ 60m. The same year, he was ranked 3rd in the California Summer Grand Prix in the 100m. In 1997 and 1998 he qualified for U.S. Outdoor Nationals in the 100m. Coach Gilmer was an assistant sprint coach for 3 seasons at Hoover High in Glendale California. He then served 3 years as a volunteer sprint coach for Concordia University. COACH RICHARD HOLMES
A proud 1990 graduate of Fresno State University, Coach Holmes has had the rare opportunity to work and train with some of the best hurdlers in the sport. From Olympic medalists, national, collegiate, and high school champions, Coach Holmes has had the unique access to learn, analyze and dissect hurdling information from the sports best. Coach Holmes still competes at the Masters Track & Field level, allowing him the ability to “demonstrate” each aspect of his knowledge. Richard’s accomplishments include: California State Meet finalist 1985, Conference Champion & 2x Cal JC State Meet finalist, Team Captain & American River Junior College 110 HH Record Holder, Team Captain & Conference Champion, 110HH – Fresno State, 2x USATF U.S Masters 110HH Champion (World Ranked #1; 2003), USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified Coach, USA Track & Field Registry Approved Coach.
COACH BB HUDSON
BB Hudson’s SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING focuses on combining the body’s bio- mechanics with nutrition. This allows his clients to gain the speed, agility, explosiveness, power and overall athleticism needed to perform at their best. BB prepares athlete’s bodies with both mental and physical conditioning, ensuring that the athlete’s mind and spirit are calm, focused, and prepared for high level competition.
BB’s unique abilities has garnered him an extremely diversified career in training beginners to professionals in many different sports. He began his professional championship boxer trainer career with Shane Mosley. He then moved on to train great fighters such as Winky Wright and Laila Ali. BB has also trained MMA fighter and action movie actress Gina Carano. He has also trained a New Zealand semi-pro rugby player.
He currently trains athletes for all levels of competition, from high school to Division I college to the NFL. The majority of his high school clients have received scholarships to Division I schools.
BB Hudson played defensive back in the NFL for both the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings. He began his football career as a Jr. All American. He then continued by playing for Pomona High School. While playing for Mt. San Antonio Community College he earned a scholarship to play for California State University at Fullerton. After his college football career he entered the National Football League.
BB’s certifications include The Boxing Commission of California, Nevada, Washington D.C., Germany and South Africa. He is a member of The President’s Challenge, USDA, and Community Health Councils/ Food Policy Consortium.
